The company is active across wind, solar PV, battery storage and hydrogen and is expanding rapidly in the Italian market.The Senior Project Manager will be based in Milan and will play a key role in the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, acting as the main point of responsibility for assigned projects from early-stage development through permitting and Ready-to-Build (RTB), and supporting the handover to construction.This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment, backed by a strong international group with a long-term commitment to the Italian market.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Development & Management
- Identify, assess, and progress new development opportunities for wind, solar PV, BESS projects in Italy.
- Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and development evaluations.
- Manage projects from concept through permitting, RTB, and handover to construction.
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring proactive management of the key development pillars: land, grid, and permitting.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.
- Act as the main point of contact for all matters related to assigned projects.
- Lead and coordinate permitting processes at national, regional, and local levels.
- Manage relationships with public authorities, municipalities, and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate external consultants, developers, and technical advisors, ensuring compliance with contracts and deliverables.
- Support and guide internal colleagues on permitting-related topics.
- Oversee grid connection processes, including applications, negotiations, and acceptance.
- Manage land acquisition activities, including negotiations and administration of land agreements.
- Support the development and optimization of the existing project portfolio.
- Identify and propose project acquisition opportunities, including potential participation in M&A transactions.
- Support the construction team during the execution phase of assigned projects.
- Contribute to the growth, profitability, and sustainability of the company’s Italian operations.
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Energy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in renewable energy project development, primarily in wind and/or solar.
