He/She is the main referent for Quality & Food Safety data management related to raw and packaging materials, finished products data and the center of expertise related to applied analytical methods and laboratory alignment.Key AccountabilitiesInternal QC (Quality Control) Laboratories management
  • Organize and report the proficiency tests, providing methodological support and assuring technical training.
  • Collect needs related to Q&FS analytical data, assess and escalate issues to the appropriate department, proposing effective solutions for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide training for QC (Quality Control) to assure that laboratory activities are executed according to shared principles/rules, and people are updated on analytical techniques and data interpretation.
  • Ensure the continuous updating of methods and spreadsheets relating to the calibration method of instruments in QC (Quality Control) and in the factories.
Data management
  • Provide support to the regional and plant teams for control plan analysis update and for troubleshooting. Updating QC (Quality Control) master data and managing test changes.
  • Collaborate to implement and upgrade of IT tools (LIMS analysis and LIMS Instruments)
  • Support the complaints management process by ensuring accurate attribution of issues to the appropriate plants or departments.
External Laboratories management
  • Perform the selection process, contracts, and periodic performance reviews of external laboratories.
  • Evaluate the reliability of external partners through participation in proficiency tests.
  • Provide support in company decisions during crisis management.
  • Assure the development, implementation, and maintenance of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines for CQ (Quality Control) and key procedures/documentation for the Quality & Food Safety management system, ensuring compliance with FSSC 22000 standards and other regulations.
Requirements & Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in scientific field
  • At least 6-months of experience in Quality & Food Safety, QC (Quality Control) or chemical/microbiology Laboratories
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders and ensure effective collaboration.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for teamwork and co-design.
  • Excellent communication abilities, able to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
  • Good attitude to independently manage complex projects
  • Decision-making skills to prioritize tasks and contribute to solutions in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset, strongly oriented to internal stakeholders, by delivering timely tailored solutions.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and eagerness to explore innovative solutions.
  • Availability to travel, for business trips in Italy and abroad.
  • Fluent in English and Italian. A good knowledge of French will be considered a plus.
