As an intern, you'll support key processes related to vendor risk assessments, security questionnaires, and the evaluation of control effectiveness. This internship is part of a broader learning program designed to provide exposure across various areas of cybersecurity. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals, build foundational knowledge, and develop the skills needed for a successful career in information security.What you'll be doing
  • Assist in evaluating and improving internal security controls based on industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Support the third-party risk management process: risk assessments, due diligence, and vendor security reviews.
  • Help document and track remediation plans related to control deficiencies or vendor risks.
  • Stay up to date with security best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
  • Constantly analyze and study security threats and their potential occurrence and impact on UniCredit perimeter.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or related.
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented and organized.
  • Interest in third-party/vendor security and governance practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the main internet technologies and protocols (http, https, stmp, soap, etc);
  • Knowledge of the main OS: Windows, Solaris, Linux and MacOS;
  • Knowledge of MS-Office suite;
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
