Mission DetailsAt Ideal Work, we are looking for a Global Business Director.We search for a dynamic, operational person with an entrepreneurial spirit. The Director will have full responsibility to prepare, present and manage the company P&L.He/She will also lead and coordinate sales and marketing activities. Ideal Work is a small business, so aso the Director role is very operational and on the field.Th role requires an energetic and empathetic person, one who know hot to communicate decorative finishes with passion and knows how to work with architects and applicators.- Responsible for a portfolio of 14 Millions Euro- Manage and supervises a team of 35-40 people including 2 Business Developers bases in Germany and France.Technical knoledge is fundamental to be able to deal with architects and applicators. This is why we are looking for a candidate who hase at leat 5 years' experience in one of the following markets: epoxy floors, decorative plasters, terrazzo, industrial floors or microcement.Location: hybrid - partly in Ideal Work office in RIESE PIO X (TV) Italy (approximately 2 hour from Venice), patly travelling in Italy and internationally. Must be able to travel when required meetings, customer visits and industry events.Reporting: Bostik Western Europe.https://www.idealwork.it/Come on, join us!Required Profile- Manage a team of managers (multifunctional): purchase, technical, HSE, Back Office, Finance, MKT, Sales- Manage the allocated resources in the limits of the operating budget approved- Communication to the team of local strategy and results- Manage Ideal Work and relationship with Arkema Italy (owner of Ideal Work) and Bostik Consumer & Construction (Western Europe)- Director will also participate to Global Managers Meeting with other Bostik MD- Coordinate Sales and Marketing activities- Identify and understand the key market drivers / analysis of each market segments and elaborate the relevant strategies- Define and report the multi annual business plan / prepare budgets and forecast in sales, margins and commercial fixed costs- Management of marketing issues for tenders- Negotiate with Distributors, draft agreement together wth Arkema Legal Team- Visiting customers and architects on their officeHard - Soft Skills
  • Sales and business experience (at least 5 years in similar role)
  • Business degree
  • Ability to analyse, rigour, common sense and adaptability (e.g. in hostile context)
  • Good interpersonal skills (with customers and with sales administrators)
  • Ability to identify decision-makers at customers and their issues/challenges
  • Communication skills (written reports and correspondence with customers)
  • Fluent English, Italian (Italian for managing the local team)
  • Competence to create and manage P&L
  • Team Spirit, flexibility and adaptability for international travelling
