We are seeking a sharp and business-oriented Cost Controller to support the financial strategy of the property by monitoring costs, optimizing budgeting processes, and providing insightful analysis to guide operational decisions. This role serves as a key partner to the Finance and Operational teams in aligning financial performance with business goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
- Support the creation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to support business needs.
- Monitor and analyze operating costs, variances, and KPIs, providing clear insights to support departmental performance.
- Ensure proper expense allocation and consistency of financial data across accounting and operational systems.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards (primarily ITA GAAP), especially within the hospitality context.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including contracts, permits, and tax documentation.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams (F&B, Rooms, Spa, etc.) to provide financial data that supports cost control and operational efficiency.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in cost control or financial analysis, ideally in the hospitality sector.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of ERP or accounting software is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; capable of influencing cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in Italian is essential; strong English skills are also required
