This new type of service has led to a decisive transformation of the business model in geo-information services and today represents the synthesis of Planetek Italia’s skills and ability to produce high-value-added services.THE CHALLENGE OF A “GEOSERVICES SAR SPECIALIST” AT PLANETEK ITALIA.As “GEOSERVICES SAR SPECIALIST” your mission will be the development of vertical and innovative SAR based applications and services to support geospatial/remote sensing projects. As a remote sensing SAR specialist, you will develop and provide customer-oriented SAR-based vertical monitoring solutions of land and infrastructures contributing to our iaas portfolio.The GEOSERVICES SAR Specialist is responsible for utilizing synthetic aperture radar technology in geospatial services. The role involves processing and analyzing SAR data to generate actionable insights, maps, and reports. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to support various projects and applications, including environmental monitoring, infrastructure assessment, and disaster response.We seek self-starting individuals with a “can-do” attitude who can adapt to a fluid work environment and a demanding schedule. In return, you will be able to be part of a motivated, highly skilled team and will be able to contribute to the growth and positive direction of our company.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:· Provide expert level of technical capabilities to document and manage project tasks, identify and manage/mitigate project risks, in order to bring assigned projects to completion on time, within cost, and within specifications;· Establishing appropriate project/task/deliverable reviews and oversight to ensure technical quality, product delivery and impactful work;· Cooperate to the technical proposals for the tenders;· Prepare and deliver all reports on time;· Interact with a variety of stakeholders and partners to ensure projects activities.YOUR BACKGROUND:· Proved advanced experience in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR): Must have a solid theoretical and practical understanding of SAR operations, including aspects of SAR data collection, processing and interpretation.· Experience with multi-temporal interferometry analysis: Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting ground motion maps based on Persistent Scatterers (PS) and Distributed Scatterers (DS) for land and infrastructure monitoring.· Programming Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or other languages used to automate EO data analyses and develop custom scripts.· Consistent understanding of GIS and EO concepts, such as projections, data management, formats and metadata;· GIS (Geographic Information System) Skills: proved experience using GIS systems to integrate SAR-derived data with other geospatial information and non-EO data generating maps and visualizations.· Data Analysis Skills: Must be able to analyze PS/DS data critically, interpret it, and extract meaningful information to meet specific client or project requirements.· Understanding of Data Processing Procedures: Knowledge of pre-processing, processing, and post-processing procedures for SAR data to obtain accurate and reliable results.· Remote Sensing Knowledge: A general knowledge of remote sensing techniques, including other sensors besides SAR (e.g. optical imagery processing), to comprehend integrated geospatial data applications would be a valued skill.· Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
