Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Business Manager, where you'll contribute to client relationships and business growth within our Pharma Services Group. You'll serve as the primary liaison between clients and our organization, developing and managing strategic business relationships while ensuring exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction, revenue growth and contract compliance. Combining technical expertise and commercial understanding, you'll identify and implement solutions that create mutual success for both our clients and organization.Key Responsibilities
- Acts as the internal client advocate and leader of the business at the site, balancing and driving both the client’s and Patheon's requirements and priorities. Serves as escalation point for customer.
- Identifies new business opportunities with existing customers and partners with Sales to assess and implement these.
- Ensures that expected service levels are being provided and that required planning and technical information is being exchanged appropriately between organizations.
- Ensures client and company are operating in compliance with MSA (Manufacturing Supply Agreement).
- Prepares and submits commercial services proposals to customers. Completes commercial assessments and generates and negotiates quotations for technical changes and in response to customer requests for additional services.
- Facilitates effective internal communication of new project requirements, coordinates and manages customer site visits, and promotes company and site capabilities.
- Partners with PMO and Technology Transfer project managers to assume control of tech transfer projects upon validation and ensure 100% on-time launches.
- Assesses ongoing business and provides technical solutions to the client to address process robustness or business challenges.
- Ensures client’s forecasts are represented accurately in S&OP process; assists in development of annual commercial revenue budget.
- Ensures cGMP is applied in work area and follows cGMP in all areas.
- Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or contract manufacturing organization (CMO/CDMO)
- Preferred Fields of Study: Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or related field
- Demonstrated success in account management, project management, sales or marketing with client-facing responsibilities.
- Understanding of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated experience with quoting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Negotiation and resolution skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with proven relationship-building capabilities
- Ability to work with stakeholders and build consensus across multiple functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Salesforce knowledge is considered a plus
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
- Fluent English required
