Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor to support a major offshore oil & gas development project. To oversee all electrical and instrumentation construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities on-site. This role is responsible for ensuring safe execution, quality compliance, and adherence to project schedules while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities Supervision & Execution
- Supervise installation, termination, glanding, and testing of:
- LV/MV electrical systems, power distribution panels, transformers, and lighting systems
- Instrumentation systems including transmitters, control valves, and analyzers
- Power, control, signal, and fiber-optic cabling
- Oversee loop checking, continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and functional testing across all E&I systems.
- Verify installations against engineering drawings including P&IDs, SLDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and layouts.
- Coordinate daily construction activities with subcontractors, engineering teams, and QA/QC inspectors.
- Monitor manpower allocation and ensure progress aligns with project schedules.
- Interface with vendors, commissioning teams, and other stakeholders to support system handover.
- Ensure all work complies with IFC drawings, project specifications, and international standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, ISA, etc.).
- Review and validate red-line markups, as-built documentation, and test records.
- Participate in system walkdowns and support punch list completion.
- Enforce site safety standards and compliance with PTW, LOTO, and HAZID procedures.
- Ensure the use of correct PPE, and promote safe working practices, particularly in high-voltage or hazardous-area environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment and installation practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Proven hands-on supervision and on-site problem-solving experience.
- Experience with loop testing, functional testing, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and completion systems such as ICAPS or WinPCS.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination abilities.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Engineering or Automation & Control Engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience in electrical and/or instrumentation supervision.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare technical reports and specifications.
