- Operational Process Analysis: Analyze and optimize complex operational processes to ensure seamless integration and best fit of OT systems with high user experience.
- OT System Integration: Support the integration of OT applications with existing systems, ensuring alignment with operational goals and delivering value.
- Continuous Improvement of existing and new OT applications, including demand management and roadmap creation in close collaboration with IT Business Partners.
- Application Maintenance: Plan maintenance schedules considering plant downtimes to maintain and optimize specific OT applications within the defined portfolio, ensuring their reliability and efficiency.
- Project Management: Manage smaller projects focused on replacing or upgrading individual OT applications, coordinating project activities, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining the quality and reliability of the applications.
- Technical Solutions and Support: Assist in configuring, programming, and troubleshooting OT applications, providing technical solutions and support to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational requirements, translate them into effective technical solutions, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
- Training and Documentation: Create comprehensive training materials, provide training sessions, and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity in own area of responsibility.
- Traditional Manufacturing IT Technologies: Knowledge of technologies and systems such as Siemens PCS7, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Fieldbus systems.
- Digital Manufacturing Platforms: Knowledge of digital manufacturing platforms (e.g., Siemens MindSphere, GE Predix) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- IT & OT Architectures: Foundational competence in designing and implementing manufacturing IT architectures, ensuring seamless integration of IT and OT systems for optimized manufacturing operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Good collaboration skills to work with stakeholders from diverse departments (e.g., IT, technology, operations) and external vendors or partners.
- Business Process Management: Solid understanding of relevant business processes and the ability to visualize processes and their improvement potential.
- Adaptability: Able to follow in rapidly evolving technology landscapes, adapting to new digital trends and shifting business priorities while maintaining operational excellence.
