
Digital Payment & Fraud Intern – E-Commerce

- Monitor daily orders and payment activity to identify suspicious or high-risk transactions, with a focus on high-ticket and highly desirable items.
- Analyze fraud patterns specific to luxury goods, including new account creation, account takeovers, bot activity, and identity fraud.
- Assist with the verification of digital identities, particularly for first-time buyers.
- Support the refinement of fraud detection rules to balance security, business goals, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of chargebacks, refund abuse, and “item not received” claims.
- Help create and maintain fraud case logs, reporting dashboards, and process improvement documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes, tools, and overall performance
- Support the achievement of departmental KPIs and overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with Customer Support, Logistics, and Finance teams to review and verify flagged orders.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a high level of integrity.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong interest in sneakers, fashion, or luxury e-commerce.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Familiarity with the luxury or resale sneaker market (brands, platforms, and buyer behavior).
- Knowledge of payment platforms and fraud detection tools.
- Experience with manual fraud reviews, digital identity verification, or chargeback handling.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plus.
- Prior internship or academic work in fraud prevention, payment operations, or digital trust & safety is a plus.
