HoscoWhere passion meets opportunityThe best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail!Your PurposeReporting into the Senior Architect Manager, the Architect will work within the Architecture & Design Department to support the architectural development for new ship construction and refurbishment projects. You will work closely with the junior architects as part of a multidisciplinary team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the preparation of layout drawings, 3D concepts, and detailed design drawing packages including plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings.Once the architectural base is defined, you will collaborate with the FF&E, Artwork, and Signage teams to complete the development of each area, ensuring cohesion with the overall design vision and project requirements. The role requires strong coordination skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate design intent into precise and buildable documentation.Your Impact
  • Develop spatial layouts and architectural design concepts in coordination with project briefs.
  • Produce 3D concepts, detailed plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings for assigned areas.
  • Supervise and guide junior architects in the preparation of design documents.
  • Coordinate with FF&E, Artwork, and Signage teams to finalize area development.
  • Review and validate contractor drawings, material samples, and mock-ups.
  • Participate in inspections, site visits, and onboard delivery reviews.
  • Ensure all design documentation aligns with brand, regulatory, and technical standards.
  • Report to the Senior Architect Manager and support overall project coordination.
Your Journey so far
  • Degree qualified, or similar, within Architecture, Interior Design, or similar
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience within Architecture or Interior design is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in architectural design and construction documentation, with the Ability to lead design production while mentoring junior architects.
  • Experience within the Maritime or Cruise industry is preferred. Familiarity with hospitality or marine design is a plus.
  • The ability to efficiently handle complex design packages and projects, with experience in producing complete design projects.
  • Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Rhino, or SketchUp is an advantage. Experience in using Adobe Suites is also an advantage.
  • Strong coordination skills, especially in multidisciplinary team settings, with the ability to lead in design production.
