- Develops vendor relationship strategies and implementation.
- Assesses vendors and end sites to establish capabilities, equipment, systems, processes, and capacity using a standard rubric.
- Build lasting customer relationships with vendors by creating mutually beneficial relationships and superior service.
- Maintains vendor communication to ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
- Assists in developing and implementing process improvement solutions related to vendor processes.
- Research vendors and suppliers to identify solutions to meet customer-specific needs and service criteria.
- Travels to and meets with vendors and end sites to identify systems, including capabilities, equipment, and capacity availability.
- Evaluates proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends suppliers who comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Maintains contact with vendors to manage the status and quality of orders and the progress toward contractual commitments.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, the Sourcing Team, and vendors to establish Master Service Agreements (MSA) and/or other vendor agreements.
- Works on the development of vendor relationship strategies and planning/execution of the appropriate governance structure to ensure continuous improvement in service and quality.
- Assists with developing and implementing process improvement solutions related to vendor processes
- Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and its products and services, and perform any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with 2–4 years of relevant experience and increasing responsibilities; an advanced degree is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, possess excellent relationship management, listening, communication, and problem-solving skills, and have a proven ability to identify innovative solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Experience with vendor management tools—such as service level agreements, audits, and surveys—is required to ensure compliance, efficiency, and outstanding customer service. An interest or background in the environmental and/or sustainability field is highly desirable. All candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
